As adjunct professor, Markus teaches courses like “Asset Allocation & Applied Behavioral Finance”, “Risk Management & Applied Behavioral Finance”, “Investment Banking” and “Narrative Reporting” at renowned Master in Finance programs of the EDHEC Business School and the International University of Monaco. Markus publishes in academic top journals (i.e. Journal of Portfolio Management, 2018), writes articles for professional journals (i.e. CFA Institute, OECD Insights, etc.) and holds keynotes at international investment conferences.

Maria Paola Toschi, Executive Director, is Global Market Strategist at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. She has accrued thirty years of experience in top financial institutions. She worked as a sell-side equity analyst covering specifically Italian small and mid-companies. She was responsible for the Equity Research Department in Banca Leonardo. She was responsible of the Industrials Equity Team in Banca IMI. She was responsible for the retail and Private Banking Research Team in Intesa San Paolo. She graduated in Economics at Bocconi University and has been a Member of the Italian Financial Analysts Association (AIAF) since 1989. She joined the Italian team of J.P. Morgan Asset Management in 2008. She was board Member of J.P. Morgan Asset Management Europe Sarl Lux in the period 2017-2020.

Julian is Rathbones’ chief investment officer, and therefore plays a key role in the ongoing development of the organisation’s investment process. Prior to this, Julian was assigned board director of Rathbone Unit Trust Management in October 2001, and joined Rathbones in July 2001 as deputy chief investment director.

Julian is also a member of Rathbones’ Investment Executive Committee, which is responsible for investment communications, stock selection and the group’s investment process. He has over 30 years’ investment experience, gained within organisations such as James Capel, Global Asset Management, Bankers Trust and Investec Asset Management.
